The role:
We are seeking motivated undergraduate nursing students to undertake the role of Assistant in Nursing with the ICU team at St. Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney. This is a casual role to fill Monday to Friday shifts 1600-2000hrs.
This rewarding role will offer you the unique opportunity to work within and gain exposure to the Intensive Care environment. All training will be provided to the successful applicant.
You will work under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent and will make a positive contribution to patient care through assistance and support to our Registered Nurses
The main duties within this role will encompass working in assisting the registered nurses with patient care within the scope of an AIN
Participate in delegated aspects of patient care, including but not limited to assistance with: personal hygiene, nutritional needs, mobility, transfers and positioning within the ward, elimination needs
Stocking and cleaning the ICU and assisting the admin team as required with phone calls and paperwork pertaining to the unit.
Contribute to positive patient outcomes by ensuring all elements of delegated work is completed accurately and in accordance with St Vincent's policies and procedures
Ensure patient privacy and dignity is maintained at all times

Your skills and experience:
Currently undertaking undergraduate study in nursing
Excellent level of customer service and clinical care
Excellent time management and problem solving skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills and strong work ethic
Commitment to continued professional development
High-level computer literacy (desirable)
Remuneration:
St. Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney Nurses' Enterprise Agreement 2022 - Assistant in Nursing : $26.31 - $31.57 + salary packaging + superannuation based on experience level and relevant qualifications, exclusive of shift penalties or allowances.
