Job Description
The Zone Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for directing, managing and supervising the MUHA
Facilities. The incumbent is responsible and accountable for the daily operation of the MUHA Zone
Maintenance Shop in the performance of routine and non-routine work. The incumbent shall be thoroughly
knowledgeable of the Hospital facilities and Building Systems, as well as all operational policies and
procedures. The incumbent shall be fully involved in managing all utility outages for the Hospital. This
position is responsible for ensuring the Hospital systems are operated and maintained in compliance with
Joint Commission and Federal and State agencies. Considered Essential Personnel in a Disaster Situation.
Additional Job Description
An Associate Degree and four years maintenance management experience in a hospital, or diversified
building maintenance or construction, or any combination of education, training, and experience.
This individual must possess excellent organizational and communication skills both inside and outside of the
maintenance department. The individual must assist and be capable of independent action, decision making
and function well in the absence of the Facility Manager.
Incumbent is Considered Essential Personnel in a disaster.
