Accountabilities:
In this context of both high services business growth ambitions of Airbus and continuous regionalization evolution of Airbus Service organization, the jobholder will be accountable of ensuring a full understanding of the services business needs and trends in China and to ensure local support for services development related activities identified. This will include working upfront in the identification of the business opportunities, develop service products and solutions, identify partnership and develop the partnership for the solutions, contribute to operational excellence of Airbus services.
The job holder shall
Act as product expert for airframe service – be a product focal point and go-to person for both China and TLS
Be responsible for business development for airframe services, e.g. new service applications or partnership
Contribute to the global product line strategy from region
Develop customised solution to meet customer needs based on global solutions
Support Airframe services related tasks locally to drive the operational excellence, including and not limited to:
- Sales support
- Product deployment
- Customer satisfaction
Main responsibilities:
Business Development in China:
Understand the airframe service market/customers and China eco-system including actors, key players, government bodies and regulations
Collect, analyse and share the market needs/trends and the competitive landscape on Airframe services and proactively propose evolutions of Airbus services portfolio in line with local market expectation
Develop product opportunities with customers, industrial partners and local authorities
Support the central business line to define product strategy for China
Support the central business line to develop products and solutions (e.g. STC) which are fitting the regional needs both regulatory and operational
Keep updated information on the evolution of the competition in particular in the field of Airframe service
In line with the strategic priorities, identify and propose new business opportunities and associated partners adapted to the Chinese market
Identify and lead partnership projects in accordance with process including:
- Establish the most appropriate project structure
- Ensure validation of projects objectives and associated resources
- Follow-up project progress and deliverables, propose and set project indicators (KPI) including link with M&A team when required
- Organize and animate project management in a structured and agile way
- Organize progress reviews with the different project or work package leaders across S business lines
- Liaise with Airbus Centre to define the business model and business case for the partnership and get it validated
- Ensure that the required contractual set-up is in place (NDA, LoI, MoU, contractual agreement, JV, …)
Bring to business development team in Centre the local expertise on any business development projects
Ensure consistency of local projects with other projects of the Service Strategic Projects portfolio and of S transformation platform
Report to the head of Services , Airbus China and to the sponsors of the projects on the progress and deliverables of the projects under your responsibility
Focus on operational excellence:
To contribute to our operational excellence as perceived by the customer.
To develop and maintain a privileged relationship with the central business line and obtain good knowledge of its processes and take actions to reach such an objectives
To support sales, CSD to better understand the customer needs, support sales campaigns, design and support solutions, service delivery if issues arising on delivery side.
The jobholder will work in close coordination with other stakeholders including customer support, services marketing, sales and aircrafts sales and marketing in China and with all the central business development teams, in particular the airframe service and service strategy in Airbus Centre.
Qualifications:
Minimum 8-10 years working experience in aerospace industry with strong Airline or MRO engineering and technical background. Experience in airframe service including upgrades will be a plus.
Project management experience with business case building knowledge
English: read, written, spoken. Negotiation level.
