Job Description

[This role can be based in Luxembourg, Madrid Barcelona, Paris, Milan]

It’s always Day One at Amazon, and today is no different for our last-mile transportation network. We view transportation as a critical element in delivering on our promise to customers, from the moment they click “Buy” on Amazon to the time their package arrives at their doorstep. Optimizing the last-mile network — designing the number, size, and locations of delivery stations, as well as the jurisdiction of each delivery station — enables our portfolio of innovative, fast, and reliable delivery services for customers across Europe.

The EU Long-Term Planning Last Mile Analytics team owns and produces the strategic plan across a planning horizon ranging from 13 weeks to 5+ years for EU Amazon Logistics, and provides insights and recommendations to support key decisions. We generate business insights for the EU leadership team to make strategic decisions by surfacing the risks and opportunities associated with each plan we produce, detailing why and how plans vary, and providing scenario analyses related to the Last Mile Delivery Station network, volume, and productivity.

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Analyst to join the EU LTP Last Mile Analytics team. As a Sr. Analyst, you will develop multi-year operating plans for delivery stations and work with the DS Topology, S&OP, and Labor Planning teams to track the progress of multi-year plans, build feedback mechanisms to improve planning, and develop new processes.

You will lead continuous improvement projects for our planning process, as well as build and prioritize feature requirements for the further development of advanced optimization, forecasting, and tracking capabilities for multi-million-dollar programs aimed at solving business problems in the transportation domain. Your role is highly visible, as you will be in regular communication with senior Operations leaders, up to VP and Director level, within STEP (Transportation Supply Chain).

Supply chain or business planning experience, cross-team coordination, project management, executive presentation skills, and a proven track record of delivering results are essential. Finally, you will own the documentation and presentation of network plans, risks, and contingencies to all levels of Operations leadership on a regular basis.
