About the Role:

CrowdStrike is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Analyst, Public Policy to join our global Public Policy team. This role will support the team’s work across a range of cybersecurity, technology, and digital policy issues, with a particular focus on U.S. public policy and policy partnerships.

The Sr. Analyst will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the Public Policy team, including monitoring policy developments, conducting research, preparing written materials, coordinating meetings and events, assisting with policy partnerships, and maintaining the internal processes and resources that help the team operate effectively.

This is an opportunity for an early-career policy professional to build substantive expertise at the intersection of cybersecurity, business, and government while developing the research, writing, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills necessary for a career in public policy. The role will approximately require 50% of time spent on policy-related work, 25% on internal-facing compliance, and 25% on administrative and organizational support for the public policy team.

There is a strong preference for a candidate based in DC/MD/VA. We anticipate office time and in-person meetings multiple days per week, as well as occasional travel. We will also consider exceptional candidates based in major U.S. cities such as San Francisco, Austin, or NYC.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare regular internal policy updates, news summaries, legislative and regulatory trackers, meeting readouts, and other materials that keep the Public Policy team and key internal stakeholders informed of relevant developments.
  • Support internal Public Policy compliance.
  • Conduct research and support the preparation of memos, backgrounders, talking points, briefing materials, presentations, and other written products for members of the Public Policy team and other CrowdStrike leaders.
  • Maintain organizational tools to manage the team’s policy partnerships and external engagements, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) tools where appropriate.
  • Support the team’s day-to-day meeting and engagement workflow, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and background materials, managing logistics, taking notes, and tracking follow-up items.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of policy events, conferences, roundtables, and other external engagements.
  • Assist with additional administrative, operational, and substantive projects that support the effectiveness of the global Public Policy team.
  • Complete other tasks and duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5 years of relevant professional experience in public policy, government affairs, cybersecurity or technology policy, national security, or a related field.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant topic including in public policy, international relations, national security, security studies, cybersecurity, political science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity, AI, and technology policy.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills, with an ability to quickly understand complex issues and communicate them clearly and concisely.
  • Strong judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to synthesize legislative, regulatory, technical, and other complex material for audiences with varying levels of subject-matter expertise.
  • Strong organizational, project-management, and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and reliably execute both short-turnaround and longer-term assignments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams, cultures, and time zones in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Bonus Points:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant topic including in public policy, international relations, law, national security, security studies, cybersecurity, political science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in or with the U.S. federal government, Congress, a state government, policy research organization, trade association, or technology company.
