Manager – Client Service Delivery & Payroll Operation – People Advisory Services
The opportunity
As part of the EY Egypt Nearshore Payroll Operate team, you will lead integrated payroll, social insurance and client service delivery for multi-country engagements – governing transition, recurring operations, quality and risk, while helping build a scalable nearshore capability alongside onshore and country teams.
Your key responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the delivery across recurring payroll, payroll implementation and transition, and social insurance services for assigned multi-country engagements, with clear calendars, ownership, controls and escalation routes.
• Act as the operational control tower and senior client-service contact: coordinate nearshore, onshore, country, technology and engagement teams; manage priorities, service levels, queries, risks and expectations.
• Govern social insurance activities across the employee and legal-entity lifecycle, including registration and deregistration support, employee data changes, contribution and invoice reconciliation, payment-support packs, portal follow-up and issue resolution with authorized country specialists.
• Own quality and control effectiveness by challenging incomplete evidence, holding deliverables where mandatory requirements are unmet, leading root-cause analysis and ensuring corrective actions are closed.
• Provide concise service reporting covering delivery status, SLA and KPI performance, incidents, recurring defects, capacity, risks, decisions and improvement actions.
• Lead, coach and develop the Egypt Nearshore team, build backup coverage, allocate work across payroll calendars and reinforce consistent EY methodology, confidentiality and documentation standards.
• Drive standardization, automation and process improvement while preserving country-specific compliance requirements and approved decision rights.
• Support engagement economics through resource planning, effort tracking, budget awareness, change identification and timely operational information for billing and governance.
Skills and attributes for success
You are a practical payroll leader who can connect detailed operational execution with strong client governance. You bring sound judgment, a control mindset and the confidence to challenge incomplete outputs, while coaching teams and sustaining trusted stakeholder relationships.
To qualify for the role
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in payroll operations, managed services or payroll service delivery, including experience leading teams and complex or multi-country engagements.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll, payroll controls, reconciliations, social insurance administration and statutory deliverables; ability to distinguish operational execution from matters requiring country or legal interpretation.
• Proven client-service, stakeholder-management and escalation skills, with the ability to present risks, decisions and delivery status clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience governing implementations or transitions, including requirements, testing, parallel runs, cutover, handover and stabilization.
• Strong analytical, English communication, project-management and people-leadership capabilities, with disciplined handling of confidential employee and payroll data.
Ideally, you’ll also have
• Fluency in Arabic and English to support communication with clients, employees and international stakeholders.
• Experience supporting GCC or wider MENA payroll and social insurance portfolios from a shared-service, offshore or nearshore environment.
• Professional certification in payroll, project management, accounting, HR or a related discipline.
• Experience with payroll platforms, authority portals, workflow tools, reporting, automation or data-visualization solutions.
What we look for
An accountable, collaborative leader who can stabilize today’s delivery while building a standardized and scalable Egypt Nearshore model. You should be equally comfortable reviewing payroll evidence, resolving service issues, guiding people and communicating with senior client and EY stakeholders.
