Senior Manager – Data Architect 

We are looking for an experienced Senio Manager - Data Architect to join our growing MENA Technology Consulting team in Egypt, and lead the architecture of modern enterprise data platforms and transformations across Egypt and the wider MENA region, combining deep technical expertise with consulting leadership, client engagement and business development. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead enterprise data architecture, modernization and transformation engagements. 

• Define target architectures across Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse and Data Mesh. 

• Architect cloud, hybrid and on-premise platforms leveraging Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake and Microsoft Azure/Fabric. 

• Lead architecture for ETL/ELT, batch, streaming and real-time data pipelines. 

• Define standards for data governance, security, integration, quality and metadata management. 

• Advise senior stakeholders on data strategy, platform selection and architecture decisions. 

• Lead solutioning, proposals, RFP responses and business development. 

• Provide architecture governance and leadership to multidisciplinary Data & AI teams. 

Qualifications 

• Strong experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Engineering and modern Data Platforms, with demonstrated leadership responsibility. 

• Proven experience leading large-scale data transformation programs. 

• Strong client-facing, executive communication and stakeholder-management capabilities. 

• Industry experience, preferably across Financial Services, Government & Public Sector, Energy & Utilities, Telecom, Consumer & Retail, or Real Estate & Infrastructure. 

• Prior Big Four, consulting, system integration or technology consulting experience is highly preferred. 

• Experience across Egypt/MENA and readiness to travel across the MENA region based on client needs. 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline. 

Skills Required 

• Architecture: Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Medallion Architecture, ETL/ELT and real-time architectures. 

• Platforms: Cloudera Data Platform, Databricks/Delta Lake, Snowflake and Microsoft Azure/Fabric. 

• Azure: ADLS, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Event Hubs and Azure SQL. 

• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, NoSQL, Graph and Time-Series databases. 

• Engineering: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, dbt, NiFi, Apache Hop and Elasticsearch. 

• Languages: Python, PySpark, Scala and Java. 

• Data Engineering Platforms: Informatica, IBM DataStage and Talend.
