Position Summary
Designs, develops, and maintains full-stack web applications and services supporting data-driven business solutions at scale. Solves complex problems independently, applying deep technical expertise and business understanding. Leads initiatives of moderate to large scope, providing technical direction and mentoring junior team members. Architects frontend interfaces and backend services, ensuring high performance, reliability, and seamless integration across systems. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define technical approaches and deliver scalable solutions. Drives application observability through logging, alerting, and performance monitoring strategies. Champions code quality through reviews, testing strategies, and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Frontend development using React.js and Node.js
    • Building RESTful APIs and server-side logic using Python (FastAPI, Flask)
    • Databases (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Spanner, or Postgres)
    • CI/CD tools for automated build, test, and deployment
    • Cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
    • Version control (Git)
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Pub/sub messaging patterns (PubSub, Kafka) for real-time data processing
    • Unit, regression, and integration testing; automated testing frameworks
    • Agile development practices
  • Experience using AI assistants in software development workflows



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience optimizing application performance using caching techniques (Redis)
  • Experience integrating LLMs and AI technologies to enhance system intelligence and automation
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code or cloud-native architectures
  • Experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical initiatives
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Healthcare industry experience a plus


Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$101,970.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
