At EY, we are continuing to grow our Supply Chain & Operations Consulting practice to meet increasing client demand for digital transformation across Life Sciences manufacturing, laboratory, quality, supply chain, and AI-enabled operations.

Within our Life Sciences Supply Chain Manufacturing Operations & AI Transformation Delivery team, we help pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device organizations modernize laboratory and quality operations, unlock value from digital technologies, improve data quality and governance, and accelerate adoption of next-generation capabilities including AI, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation.

In addition to delivering client engagements, you will contribute to the growth of EY's Life Sciences consulting practice through business development, solution development, thought leadership, and team development activities.

As a Senior Consultant in Supply Chain Manufacturing Operations & AI Transformation Delivery, you will work with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical-device clients to transform laboratory, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain processes through the implementation of modern digital solutions.

As a Senior Consultant in Supply Chain, you will: 

• Build valued relationships with client stakeholders and internal EY teams.
• Support proposal development, business development activities, and market growth initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of EY methodologies, accelerators, and Life Sciences transformation offerings.
• Support the development of thought leadership and market insights related to laboratory, quality, and digital transformation.
• Participate in practice-building activities and support the continued growth of EY's Supply Chain & Operations team.
• Assess laboratory, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain processes through stakeholder interviews, workshops, site observations, and operational data reviews.
• Partner with laboratory SMEs, quality teams, manufacturing operations, and technology stakeholders to understand current-state processes and identify opportunities for standardization and digital transformation.
• Facilitate business process assessments, requirements workshops, and design sessions to define future-state operating models and system capabilities.
• Develop and maintain process maps, user stories, business requirements, functional specifications, and operational workflows to support digital transformation initiatives.
• Review, update, and support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and supporting process documentation.
• Translate business and operational requirements into master data, configuration, reporting, analytics, and integration requirements.
• Support the implementation of laboratory and manufacturing systems, including LIMS, MES, quality systems, and associated data platforms.
• Work with solution architects, data teams, and implementation partners to ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and operational requirements.
• Support master data design activities by identifying business rules, data definitions, process dependencies, and governance requirements.
• Develop and execute test scenarios, document defects, support issue resolution, and maintain traceability between requirements and testing outcomes.
• Support deployment readiness, end-user training, hypercare activities, and business adoption efforts.
• Contribute to analytics and AI use cases by assessing process workflows, evaluating data quality, and helping identify opportunities to improve decision-making, efficiency, compliance, and operational performance.
• Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to client stakeholders and engagement leadership.

• Interest in leveraging analytics and AI-enabled capabilities to improve operational effectiveness.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• A bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Life Sciences operations, laboratory informatics, quality operations, business process transformation, technology consulting, or a related field.
• Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical-device, or other regulated environments.
• Experience conducting business process analysis and gathering requirements from operational stakeholders.
• Experience documenting business processes, workflows, SOPs, work instructions, or functional requirements.
• Experience collaborating with laboratory, quality, manufacturing, and technology teams to design and implement process improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including workshop facilitation and stakeholder management.
• Ability to travel as needed based on business and role requirements.

Ideally, You'll Also Have

• Experience with LIMS platforms such as Veeva LIMS, LabWare, LabVantage, or similar laboratory systems.
• Experience supporting laboratory digital transformation, quality transformation, or business process standardization programs.
• Knowledge of master data management concepts and governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting system implementation projects, including configuration, testing, validation, deployment, and adoption activities.
• Familiarity with MES, ERP, QMS, manufacturing data platforms, and integration concepts.
• Exposure to AI, advanced analytics, or data-driven process optimization initiatives.
• Experience working with global and cross-functional teams across multiple regions and time zones.
• Understanding of GxP compliance, computer system validation, electronic records, and data integrity requirements.
• Relevant technology, Agile, quality, laboratory, or project management certifications.
