Senior HR Generalist

About the role

 

The Senior HR Generalist is a key member of the People Consulting team, providing comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle and acting as a trusted advisor to employees and people leaders. The role is responsible for delivering consistent HR services, supporting talent initiatives, managing employee relations matters and driving adoption of standardized people processes across assigned client groups.

Working closely with HR Business Partners, HR Operations, People Experience teams and Centers of Excellence, the Senior HR Generalist helps deliver an exceptional employee experience while supporting organizational and workforce priorities.

 

How you will contribute

 

  • Act as a primary HR contact for employees and managers within assigned client groups.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, engagement, development and policy-related matters.
  • Support annual people processes including performance reviews, promotions, compensation cycles and succession discussions.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders on workforce planning and hiring activities.
  • Support organizational changes including transfers, mobility, restructurings and employee lifecycle events.
  • Analyze workforce data and people metrics to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Drive employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives within assigned teams.
  • Ensure compliance with EY policies and local employment requirements.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to implement talent, learning and rewards programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization of HR practices and employee experiences.

 

Skills and qualifications

 

  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management and talent processes.
  • Experience supporting employees and managers in complex and matrixed organizations.
  • Working knowledge of labor law and HR policies.
  • Experience using HR systems, digital HR solutions and people analytics.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance operational delivery with advisory support.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
