Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with several years of experience in mechanical design and engineering. You will play a key role in developing customer-specific cooling systems for HVDC applications, working with 3D design in Solid Edge and collaborating closely with project teams, suppliers, manufacturing teams and customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical design, practical engineering problemsolving and industrial project work. Experience with piping systems, fabricated steel structures, pumps, valves or cooling equipment would be an advantage.


The opportunity

Cooling Systems in Landskrona has global responsibility for developing and manufacturing highly reliable cooling systems for power electronics and other demanding applications. You will join a project team responsible for delivering some of our larger customer-specific cooling systems. As part of one of our four mechanical engineering departments, you will translate flow diagrams, technical specifications and component lists into complete, manufacturable cooling system designs.


Your responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out mechanical engineering work across multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Create 3D models of cooling systems in Solid Edge based on flow diagrams, technical specifications and component lists.
  • Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) in SAP.
  • Produce and review engineering drawings and other technical documentation.
  • Ensure that designs are manufacturable, installable and suitable for service.
  • Ensure that engineering deliverables are completed on time and meet the required quality standards.
  • Work closely with other engineering teams, production, suppliers, customers and other local and global stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our working methods and product quality

Your background

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent expertise gained through several years of relevant professional experience.
  • Several years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in an industrial, project-based environment.
  • Experience in 3D CAD modelling is essential. Experience with Solid Edge is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in engineering projects and managing several assignments or priorities in parallel.
  • An analytical, structured and goal-oriented approach, together with the drive to move tasks and projects forward.
  • A practical understanding of manufacturing, installation and service.
  • Experience in piping systems or pipe design is an advantage.
  • Good written and spoken Swedish and English, enabling you to communicate effectively with both local and global stakeholders.
