Details of the Division and Team:
The Lending VP works closely with Coverage, Business Risk Management, Investment Solution and rest of Lending team members to implement and execute Lending business strategy and transactions for the APAC region. Lending VP is expected to spearhead and/or support credit structuring and execution of financing solutions, including business, financial and legal analysis, due diligence, documentation and credit approval processes, ensuring execution success to the Bank’s highest standards. This is a challenging role which requires a strong ability to be agile and to work with key stakeholders to deliver on aggressive growth plans, with opportunities to also mentor more junior team members. Accountability includes attainment of set of performance targets, optimum resource utilization and adherence to relevant internal policies/controls and regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities:
- To support the structuring and execution of tailored financing solutions for clients (Ultra High Net Worth clients and Family Offices) in the Southeast Asia and South Asia market region aligned with risk appetite, return thresholds and internal credit policies
- Focus on financing solutions against liquid to less liquid assets, i.e. Share Backed Financing, Real Estates, Alternative Investments, Structured Products
- To deal with both flow transactions and specifically focus on cases that have an element of exception to credit policy, large exposures, concentrations, extended credits and require extensive analysis and risk mitigation strategies (covenants, hedging etc)
- To participate in new business initiatives and product development, and to enhance the credit platform to drive growth for the franchise
- Opportunity to participate in client meetings along with Sales/Coverage to work on the key features of the structured product and liaise with internal/external lawyers and clients on legal documentation help closing transactions.
- Responsible for monitoring ongoing transactions and be involved in the review/drafting of marketing, deal execution materials and internal desk reports.
- Shape credit-related processes, policies and platform enhancements
Your skills and experience:
- 8 + years of relevant experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Structured Finance, Credit Structuring, or Lending Solutions functions within a leading financial institution.
- Demonstrated experience in structuring and executing bespoke financing solutions for Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients, Family Offices, and complex borrower structures.
- Strong credit analysis and underwriting skills, with the ability to assess corporate, individual and asset-backed credit risk, including financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment, leverage metrics and collateral evaluation.
- Solid understanding of credit risk management principles, including concentration risk, covenant structuring, risk mitigation techniques, collateral management and exception approval processes.
- Experience structuring transactions involving large exposures, extended credit facilities, policy exceptions and bespoke financing solutions requiring extensive analysis and negotiation.
- Strong understanding of lending documentation, legal structures and transaction execution processes, with experience partnering with internal and external legal counsel to close complex transactions.
- Knowledge in fundamental financial analysis including on corporates
- Possesses good understanding of credit process, policies, and related legal/ regulatory requirements. Thorough knowledge of capital markets and derivatives products.
- Strong communicator (both written and verbal skills) with an ability to write concise reports
- Have an open mindset and respects challenging views from different stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and an independent decision-maker with ability to support or defend conclusions.
- Team oriented, flexible, diligent, self-motivated and willing to set example to junior teammates
- Ability to collaborate effectively with wide range of cultures / personal styles and to establish strong partnership with infrastructure staff
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
