The position oversees the processes, governance, systems, and cross-functional execution required to efficiently scale the business by double-digit growth year over year while simultaneously delivering exceptional experiences for advertisers, agencies, and internal stakeholders.

The Executive Director serves as a member of the CMX leadership team, shaping business strategy and operational priorities that drive revenue growth, scalability, profitability, and organizational effectiveness. This role establishes the operating model, governance structure, and execution framework that enables CMX to achieve both short-term business targets and long-term strategic objectives while influencing priorities across Marketing, DDAT, Product, and enterprise partner organizations.

This leader develops scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and business rhythms that enable efficient execution and sustainable growth. The role requires balancing long-term organizational design with day-to-day execution while building the operational foundation necessary for CMX to achieve its strategic objectives as a leading retail media network. The leader will own operational planning and budget strategy for CMX operations, influencing profitability through productivity, automation, resource optimization, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Business Systems, and other stakeholders across the PCW Marketing, Operations, DDAT, and Strategy teams, to optimize technology platforms, improve automation, reporting, business intelligence, and resource management capabilities. Create and drive shared operational standards across these interconnected groups.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing operations organization, instilling critical cultural elements for success today while simultaneously building the capabilities required to support long-term growth and innovation.  Immediate focus will be on fostering accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in business operations, marketing operations, strategy, ad-tech, consulting, portfolio and program management, or related fields.
  • 7+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with annual business goals and long-term growth objectives.
  • Strong expertise designing and governing decision-making frameworks, including RACI, PACE, DACI, and related accountability models.
  • Experience establishing operating models, governance frameworks, executive reviews, performance reporting, and scalable business processes for organizations undergoing rapid growth, integration, or transformation.
  • Expertise automating and optimizing workflows using project portfolio management, work management, and collaboration platforms such as Workfront, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of media, advertising, retail media, e-commerce, digital marketing, or technology environments. Have an understanding of tech and advertising operations to help drive efficiency.
  • Experience managing significant operating budgets and vendor portfolios.
  • Ability to partner effectively across Product, Sales, Marketing, Client Success, Strategy, and Business Systems teams to drive operational excellence.
  • Excellent executive communication, organizational leadership, and problem-solving skills.
