Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
· Strong understanding of automotive assembly plant operations.
· Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled manufacturing systems.
· Knowledge of Rockwell ControlLogix PLC platforms.
· Understanding of conveyor systems and station-based manufacturing processes.
· Experience analyzing production incidents and performing root cause analysis.
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
Application Support
· Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for the QAS application in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
· Monitor system performance and resolve production incidents impacting assembly operations.
· Troubleshoot vehicle tracking, station processing, quality validation, and process data issues.
· Support application deployments, upgrades, configuration changes, and testing activities.
· Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
· Collaborate with Quality, Production, Controls Engineering, and Plant IT teams.
Manufacturing & Quality Support
· Support the tracking of vehicles through assembly stations and conveyor segments.
· Ensure accurate association of vehicle information with tooling and process results.
· Investigate and resolve issues related to vehicle traceability and process compliance.
· Support quality enforcement processes that prevent vehicles from progressing with unresolved station issues.
· Assist plant teams in minimizing production disruptions and maintaining product quality.
PLC & Controls Support
· Support integration between QAS and plant floor PLC-controlled equipment.
· Troubleshoot communication issues between applications, PLCs, HMIs, conveyors, and manufacturing devices.
· Analyze PLC tags, signals, and production events impacting application functionality.
· Support conveyor stop/start interlocks and station control functions.
· Work with Controls Engineers to diagnose automation and production-related issues.
Continuous Improvement
· Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
· Develop and maintain support documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
· Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $105,000 per year
