Scala Developer
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
•Strong proficiency in Scala and experience with sbt for build management.
•Solid understanding of functional programming principles and best practices.
•Experience with JSON serialization and deserialization frameworks such as Circe.
•Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
•Knowledge of cloud authentication and authorization mechanisms, including:
oIAM
oSTS
oAssumeRole
oWebIdentity
•Experience integrating with AWS SDKs, particularly:
oAmazon S3
oAWS STS
•Experience working with:
oGoogle BigQuery
oGoogle Dataflow
•Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL.
•Experience with asynchronous and concurrent programming using technologies such as:
oFS2
ocats-effect
•Familiarity with distributed messaging platforms such as Google Pub/Sub.
•Strong testing experience, including unit, component, and integration testing.
•Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
•Proficiency with Git and modern software development workflows.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala.
•Build and enhance distributed systems that process large-scale data workloads.
•Develop integrations with cloud services across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
•Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using cloud-native identity services.
•Build and maintain data pipelines supporting ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
•Ensure system reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence.
•Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
•Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers.
•Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed, cloud-based environments.
•Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, component, and integ ration testing.
