Senior Consultant - Health Technology Consulting 

Position Overview: 

EY is experiencing increasing demand for its Health consulting expertise. We are seeking to expand our team of skilled and experienced Senior Consultants who are already delivering impact and value for our health clients across the UK. 

The successful candidate will work directly and in partnership with our clients to understand complex business, clinical, operational and technology needs, and support the design and delivery of technology-enabled transformation across health and care services. The role will have a particular focus on: 

• Digital strategy and transformation 
• Data, analytics and intelligent insight 
• Artificial intelligence and automation 
• Technology-enabled productivity and operational improvement 
• Reporting, data integration and data quality 
• Digital-enabled service, workforce and operating model transformation 

Working collaboratively within multi-practice EY teams, this role will be critical in helping to design practical solutions and bring the best of EY's technology, data and health capabilities to the sector. As a growing health practice, we act as advocates for EY’s values, promote our high-quality brand and showcase our expertise across the business.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Act as part of a delivery team on technology consulting projects within the healthcare sector, supporting timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. 
• Collaborate with clients to understand their strategic, operational, clinical and technology needs and help develop tailored, user-centred solutions. 
• Support the design and delivery of digital transformation initiatives, including data and analytics, AI, automation, reporting and technology-enabled service improvement. 
• Analyse healthcare systems, processes, policies and data to identify opportunities for innovation, productivity improvement, financial sustainability and better outcomes. 
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and clinical or operational users to help ensure solutions are practical, safe and aligned with healthcare workflows. 
• Support the development of analytics and reporting solutions, including data integration, data quality, visualisation, predictive or prescriptive analytics and integration with AI technologies. 
• Support workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement to gather insight, shape requirements and build consensus around project objectives and outcomes. 
• Produce clear, evidence-based analysis, recommendations and client deliverables for technical and non-technical audiences. 
• Contribute to pursuits as part of a wider bid team, helping to design compelling technology-enabled solutions and respond effectively to tenders. 
• Contribute to broader business development and solution development to support growth in the UK Health Practice. 
• Mentor and support junior consultants, sharing knowledge and helping to strengthen technology, data and health sector capability within the team. 
• Stay abreast of healthcare trends, regulatory changes and emerging technologies to inform consulting strategies and recommendations. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience. 
• Professional services or consulting experience in a healthcare context. 
• Experience delivering technology, digital, data or analytics-enabled transformation in the UK health sector, ideally including the NHS. 
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare trends, systems and stakeholder environments in the UK. 

Skills and Competencies: 

• Strong understanding of UK healthcare systems, policies and operational challenges, with the ability to translate these into practical technology and data solutions. 
• Experience contributing to complex consulting projects and delivering high-quality outcomes for health sector clients. 
• Practical experience working with stakeholders across the healthcare landscape, including clinical, operational, digital and corporate teams. 
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: digital strategy and transformation; data and analytics; AI and automation; technology-enabled productivity; reporting and insight; service redesign; operating model or workforce transformation. 
• Experience working with healthcare data, data quality, data integration or data governance is desirable. 
• Exposure to large-scale operational, clinical, workforce or financial datasets, such as SUS, SLAM, HES or ESR, is advantageous. 
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau is desirable. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technology and data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. 
• Ability to manage competing priorities, take ownership of workstreams and maintain high standards of quality. 
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and build strong client and stakeholder relationships. 
• Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting business development and solution design. 
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and a clear commitment to improving health and care services. 

Location: 

This role is based in London or one of EY’s regional offices. National travel will be required, as will travel to our EY Headquarters.
