We are looking for a Senior Software Technical Program Manager to drive the planning, execution, and delivery of device software (firmware) programs for our on-the-go product line. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and operations — owning complex, cross-functional programs from concept through launch and beyond.

Successful candidates are senior leaders with a strong technical background who are detail-driven and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You should be passionate about delivering extensible, on-time solutions and equally committed to building high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement, and mentorship.

Key job responsibilities
Drive device software (firmware) development and release through cross-functional collaboration across software, hardware, quality, and operations teams.

Lead and influence stakeholders to assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects by meeting key milestones.

Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints while encouraging calculated risk-taking to maximize business benefit.

Define and own program strategy, and long-term planning in partnership with engineering and product leadership to align on priorities and delivery timelines.

Establish, track, and report on key performance metrics and program health indicators; provide regular status updates and executive-level communications to senior leadership.

Drive continuous process improvement initiatives across the software development lifecycle to increase team velocity, reduce cycle times, and improve release quality.

Foster a culture of operational excellence by documenting best practices, conducting retrospectives, and implementing mechanisms that scale across the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
