Key job responsibilities
Develop and maintain financial models, metrics, and scorecards that support month-end reporting, operating plan cycles, and strategic business decisions across Product development and engineering teams

Lead month-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance while diving deep into variance analysis and delivering insightful commentaries to senior leadership

Analyze complex quantitative data to identify trends, measure productivity metrics, and evaluate return on investment for business initiatives and new product concepts

Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis stakeholders across sales and marketing finance to elevate the quality of financial reporting, narratives, and variance explanations

Collaborate with finance technology partners to streamline reporting infrastructure, drive automation opportunities, and simplify processes that improve efficiency and scalability


About the team
You'll join a small but highly impactful finance team embedded within Amazon Devices, working at the intersection of finance, product development, and engineering. The team drives close business partnerships across the organization, supporting robust financial planning for operating plan cycles and quarterly guidance processes. Your work will directly influence how resources are allocated and how product strategies are evaluated.

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
