Our teams tackle some of the hardest scalability, performance, and distributed computing challenges to deliver meaningful data products across the partner ecosystem. We process millions of records daily using stream processing techniques (Kinesis, S3, SQS) and manage complex data artifacts through modern database technologies (DynamoDB, Redshift, and RDS). We handle data pipelines that span partner benefits, funding programs, marketplace integrations, and program eligibility, providing tools and insights that help internal teams and partners understand the full lifecycle from partner enrollment to business impact. We are building next-generation data platforms to scale for the future of partner programs.

Because we sit at the nexus of multiple AWS partner teams and interact directly with internal stakeholders and partner-facing systems, we are able to directly improve the partner experience with data quality, latency, and scaling improvements.

Key job responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to help the team take AWS Partnerships to the next level. As a Data Engineer on the team, you will own large portions of the data infrastructure and will have significant influence on our strategy by helping define the next wave of data products and system architecture. The systems are complex and there are huge opportunities to work at all levels, from ingestion of data across 30+ partner program sources, performance tuning, to system-level components and internal reporting experiences. You should be somebody who enjoys working on large data sets, is customer-centric, is passionate about building quality ETL and data pipelines, and is committed to achieving operational excellence. A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are essential.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of success delivering new features or data products. They have experience with design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets. They should have excellent business and interpersonal skills to work with business owners on gathering and proposing data requirements, and to build ETL pipelines to ingest and transform the data. Above all, they are extremely passionate about working with large-scale data sets and love to bring data together to answer business questions and drive growth across the partner ecosystem. Experience with software development and AWS technologies is a plus.

AWS Partner systems are highly available, but there are times when we occasionally stray from normal operations. To minimize the impact of such excursions, we have on-call rotations. Basic Qualifications:

- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using OLAP technologies experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using data modeling experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using SQL experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using Oracle experience
- 3+ years of in the job offered or a related occupation experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using each of the following: ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)/ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
