Role title - Assistant Director – Next Frontier Impact & Value Realization
Position Summary:
The Assistant Director – Next Frontier Impact & Value Realization will lead the measurement, reporting and communication of Next Frontier's business impact across innovation investments, commercialization activities and emerging technology initiatives.
The role will establish clear frameworks, metrics and reporting mechanisms that demonstrate the value generated through Next Frontier activities, including client impact, adoption, commercialization outcomes, pipeline influence and market differentiation. The individual will work closely with Next Frontier leadership, service lines, sectors, alliances, EY.ai Labs and client-serving teams to identify, validate and showcase high-impact outcomes.
The role requires strong analytical, storytelling and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex innovation activities into clear business value narratives and executive-level insights.
Impact & Value Realization - Key responsibilities:
- Lead the measurement, reporting and communication of Next Frontier impact across clients, sectors, service lines, super regions, alliances and EY.ai Labs activities.
- Define and continuously improve impact measurement frameworks, KPIs, dashboards and reporting standards used across the Next Frontier portfolio.
- Develop executive-level reporting and insights that provide visibility into adoption, commercialization performance, pipeline influence, client outcomes and business value realized.
- Create compelling impact stories, credentials, case studies, award submissions, leadership briefings and external-facing success narratives.
- Partner with account teams, sectors, service lines and innovation leaders to identify and validate high-impact client outcomes and commercialization successes.
- Build and maintain a centralized repository of client success stories, credentials, awards, metrics and reusable proof points.
- Analyze performance trends and develop recommendations to improve adoption, commercialization effectiveness and business impact.
- Translate quantitative and qualitative evidence into concise, outcome-focused narratives for leadership communications and strategic growth initiatives.
- Support strategic reviews, business planning activities and investment discussions by providing evidence-based performance insights.
- Guide team members contributing to reporting, research, analysis and content development activities.
Impact Measurement & Performance Analytics:
- Establish performance measures and value realization frameworks for Next Frontier initiatives and investments.
- Track adoption, engagement, commercialization outcomes and business impact across the portfolio.
- Develop dashboards and analytical reporting that provide timely and actionable insights for leadership.
- Monitor trends and identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes and innovation adoption.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting methodologies and performance metrics.
Strategic Storytelling & Communications:
- Develop executive-ready narratives that clearly communicate the impact and value created by Next Frontier initiatives.
- Create leadership presentations, impact reports and strategic briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop award submissions, credentials, case studies and success stories based on validated outcomes.
- Translate complex innovation and emerging technology activities into compelling business-focused messaging.
- Support strategic campaigns and growth initiatives through evidence-based value narratives.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Portfolio Support:
- Build relationships across service lines, sectors, alliances, regions and innovation teams to gather impact data and success stories.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to define reporting priorities and strategic measures of success.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to identify and validate client outcomes and commercialization achievements.
- Support Next Frontier leadership with performance reviews, portfolio reporting and business planning activities.
- Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, repositories and knowledge management assets.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Strong understanding of innovation, emerging technologies and commercialization activities, with the ability to articulate their business value.
- Exceptional business writing, storytelling and executive communication skills.
- Experience developing executive presentations, credentials, case studies, award submissions and leadership reporting.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience defining KPIs, performance measures and value realization frameworks.
- Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative information into actionable business insights.
- Experience developing dashboards and analytical reporting using tools such as Power BI and Excel.
- Strong programme and stakeholder management capabilities across complex, matrixed environments.
- Ability to independently manage multiple strategic initiatives and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across global teams and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to coach and guide analysts or junior team members supporting reporting and analysis activities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Strategy, Finance, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Impact measurement and value realization
- Business performance management and reporting
- Strategic planning and business operations
- Executive communications and business storytelling
- Commercialization and go-to-market programs
- Innovation, emerging technology or transformation initiatives
- Consulting or professional services environments
Additional experience preferred:
- Experience building executive dashboards, reporting frameworks and performance management processes.
- Experience developing client success stories, credentials, case studies and growth-supporting content.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience collaborating with senior leaders and geographically distributed teams.
- Familiarity with emerging technology portfolios including Generative AI, Physical AI, Quantum Computing or related innovation domains.
- Experience within a professional services or consulting environment is highly desirable.
