IBM Sterling MFTS Support Engineer - Seattle, WA | TCS Job

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

•Over 7 years of experience in engineering, developing, and supporting Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions using tools such as IBM Sterling, File Gateway

•Working knowledge on IBM Sterling suite (File Gateway, Sterling B2Bi Integrator, Sterling External Authentication Server, Sterling Secure Proxy Perimeter Server, Sterling Secure Reverse Proxy Engine and Sterling Control Center Monitor software

•Extensive expertise in secure file transfer protocols and technologies, including FTP, SFTP, FTPS, SSH, SSL, HTTPS, AS2, and related methodologies.

•Possesses Unix skills (editing, process, shell scripting, system health)

•Working knowledge of adhering to Cryptographic Standards (Algorithms, FIPS, Key Exchanges, Host Keys, Ciphers)

•Experienced in SQL development and Oracle database knowledge (table construction) troubleshooting

•Competent in Sterling Control Center Monitoring configuration Rules, Actions, and Reporting utilizing Jasper Suite

•Solid understanding of encryption algorithms (e.g., PGP, SFTP/SSH) and secure file transfer practices, along with knowledge of networking, network protocols, and firewalls as they apply to MFT systems.

•Provide 24/7 production support for Managed File Transfer environments on a rotational basis, adhering to established operational standards.

•Proficient in cloud implementations, with a strong emphasis on OpenShift.

•Hands-on experience managing and supporting systems in both Windows and Unix/Linux environments.

•Experience with GitLab (DevSecOps platform), yaml structure and formatting

•Experience with Splunk (observability, log management, Report creation, regex, etc.)

•Security Patches, Password updates, Certificate Updates and Platform Infrastructure Management

•Prerequisite tasks completion for upcoming Major releases

•Service Now for Incident and Change Management

•Generate and present web-based reports on file transfer operations, batch schedules, system performance, automation, and key performance indicators (KPIs). 

Responsibilities

•Provide Level 3 (L3) Support to ensure prompt resolution of issues

•Resolve complex Secure file transfer incidents

•Manage the end-to-end file transfer lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, execution, and monitoring

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather file transfer requirements and deliver tailored solutions

•On call Support

•Monitor system performance, implement alert mechanisms, and proactively resolve errors using automation

•Uphold security and compliance standards by adhering to industry best practices and corporate policies to protect sensitive information throughout the transfer process

•Design and implement automation and self-service tools to streamline platform use, enabling secure and efficient data transfer between internal and external systems

•Generate and present web-based reports on file transfer operations, batch schedules, system performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

•Drive innovative integrations by setting up and testing new file transfer processes using managed or B2B file transfer platforms

•Experienced in collaborating with diverse teams to achieve seamless implementation and support of file transfer solutions

•Systems security implementations

Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000 per year
