Job Description

As the Industry Lead for Public Sector in the Netherlands, you will own the go-to-market strategy, revenue performance, and customer relationships across public sector and regulated industries including central and local government, healthcare, education, and semi-public organisations. You will serve as both the senior sales executive for the segment and a Play Coach, designing and executing industry-specific sales plays that drive adoption and usage of AWS services across these mission-critical sectors.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy on commercial and strategic matters, you will partner closely with the Country Manager and the broader Benelux leadership team on people and organisational topics. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and people management background, a strong technical understanding of cloud solutions for regulated environments, and experience engaging key anchor clients in the Dutch public sector ecosystem.

You should bring experience that enables you to drive engagements at the CxO level as well as with Business Unit leaders speaking the language of public sector, understanding regulatory and compliance requirements, and translating business challenges into cloud-enabled outcomes.

Key job responsibilities
Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for public sector and regulated industries in the Netherlands, owning the revenue target, pipeline, and forecast for the portfolio.

Drive strategic, large-scale customer engagements including enterprise agreements, PPAs, and sovereignty-aligned cloud adoption programmes.

Translate ambiguous and often incomplete information into structured action plans and insights that accelerate regulated industry cloud adoption.

Coach Account Managers and cross-functional teams to world-class levels of performance, providing hands-on guidance on deal strategy, stakeholder mapping, and value proposition articulation for regulated environments

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience in technology-related sales, business development or new business in the tech industry
- Experience in the public sector
- Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
- Experience working with partners to drive scaling campaigns across regulated industries
- Fluent in Dutch and English

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with cloud technology, ideally in regulated or sovereign cloud environments
- Deep knowledge of the Dutch public sector landscape, procurement frameworks (e.g. Rijksoverheid, DigiD, BIO compliance), and digital transformation priorities
- Experience with regulated industries such as healthcare (NEN, NTA, NZa), education, and critical infrastructure
- Existing network within Dutch government, semi-public organisations, or regulated industry decision-makers
