Job Description Summary
The Occupational Health Manager provides overall operational, clinical, and administrative leadership for the Santee Cooper Onsite Health & Wellness Center. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day clinic operations, leading clinical and support staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing occupational health and primary care service delivery, and serving as the primary liaison between MUSC Health and Santee Cooper leadership. The Program Director drives program performance, workforce health initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and client satisfaction while supporting occupational injury prevention and employee wellness objectives. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Program Director maintains clinical competency and may provide direct patient care as needed to support clinic operations, including coverage during staff absences, vacancies, periods of increased patient volume, or emergency situations. The Program Director is expected to support occupational health services, primary care activities within scope of licensure, injury management, wellness initiatives, and clinical triage functions while ensuring continuity of care and uninterrupted operations. Job Description
Administers the nursing program in a hospital, nursing home, or other medical facility to maintain standards of patient care. Advises medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Recommends establishment or revision of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing is required along with a master’s degree in Nursing or Education plan; a doctorate in nursing or related health science is preferred. A minimum of five years of current clinical work experience, two of which should include experience in leadership, education, quality and outcomes measurement, and project management. Experience in the coordination of the Magnet Recognition Program in accordance with the Standard of Care requirements of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) highly preferred. Must possess experience with collecting & submitting data to national databases; competent in Word, Excel & PowerPoint; excellent verbal & written skills; and multidisciplinary collaboration required. Current South Carolina licensure as a registered nurse or compact state required.
