Senior DevOps Engineer - Mexico City, Mexico | IQVIA Job

Job Overview

Designs, architects and implements automated build and release pipelines to support the company’s on-premise and cloud-based platforms and infrastructure. Creates and manages standardized software development environments.

Develops automated systems for deployment, monitoring and fault tolerance.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and manage Azure DevOps Services build and release definitions to enable deployment to lower environments as well as production environments

Setup continuous integration capabilities

Perform Dev, Test, UAT, Staging and Production build/deploy activities for application releases

Support production deployments, assist with troubleshooting deployment issues

Assist with branching/merging in order to provide support of parallel development requirements

Collaborate with development and testing teams to assist with continuous delivery of builds to environment

Act as a liaison between application development and infrastructure teams in the establishment of needed infrastructure in the development and subsequent support of application solutions

Serve as the SME for software development life-cycle tools that can support testing, monitoring, integration/release and scheduling areas

Monitor usage and changes configurations to improve capacity or performance 

Participate in system performance tuning and technical troubleshooting sessions

Required Skills:

Experience with Azure DevOps

Experience with Git repositories, security, policies

Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure administration and support

Experience with ARM/Terraform or other similar infrastructure-as-code automation platform

Strong scripting skills

Strong attention to detail and documentation

Monitoring critical on-premise and cloud assets

Automating workloads with the Azure CLI, PowerShell

Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (Azure, AWS, etc.)

Extensive experience in designing and implementing CICD pipelines in either Azure DevOps or other similar tools

Experience working with or supporting an Application Development teams

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree, equivalent education, training and work-related experience

Preferred - Azure software development/DevOps background

Preferred - DevOps Engineer Expert certification (AZ-400)
