Verification Engineer II - BENGALURU | Ribbon Communications Job

Experience: 2 to 3 years
Qualification: BE/BTech in Electronics and Communication, Telecommunications, or a related discipline

Mandatory Requirements

• Good knowledge of networking concepts and OTN/DWDM technologies.
• Understanding of optical network planning concepts, topologies, services, links, and traffic scenarios.
• Hands-on experience in test-plan preparation, test-case design, and software-testing methodologies.
• Experience in sanity, functional, integration, regression, migration, scale, and customer-topology testing.
• Experience in validating network-planning workflows such as topology creation, service provisioning, project operations, migration, and customer deployment scenarios.
• Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot failures, and perform basic root-cause analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and learn quickly.

Good to Have

• Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP status codes, and backend validation.
• Hands-on experience in test automation using Python.
• Exposure to REST API automation.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, virtual machines, testbeds, and build deployment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate in feature-requirement and technical discussions and prepare corresponding test plans.
• Design positive, negative, boundary, migration, scale, and customer-oriented test scenarios.
• Perform sanity, functional, integration, regression, migration, scale, and customer-topology testing.
• Validate optical-network planning workflows involving topologies, services, traffic, links, equipment, and project operations.
• Execute manual and automated test cases and perform initial failure analysis.
• Analyze logs and API responses and provide relevant technical evidence while reporting defects.
• Retest fixes and execute the required regression coverage across applicable builds and topologies.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
