The Opportunity: 

Accountable for the HR operational delivery, coordination and continuous improvement of our Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP). Act as the global subject matter expert for ESPP operations.

The role acts as the central connector and partner with HR Operations, Total Reward, Payroll, Finance, Tax, Legal, and country stakeholders, to ensure that the plan is operationally delivered consistently, accurately, and compliantly across all participating countries.

In the future, this role may also expand to oversee the operational delivery of RSU (Restricted Stock Unit) program.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Coordinate annual and monthly Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) activities globally and oversee operational milestones across participating countries.
  • Serve as the main contact person between HR Operations teams and Total Reward CoE / Hitachi Group.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, Digital HR, Tax, Technology, and other relevant stakeholders involved in ESPP delivery.
  • Act as Tier 3 support for ESPP process-related queries, issues, and escalations from the HR Operations perspective.
  • Deliver selected global ESPP activities, including eligibility validation, enrollment mop-up activities, and exception management.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations and Total Reward teams to maintain and improve ESPP operational procedures, controls, and documentation.
  • Monitor operational issues and risks and support the implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, employee experience, and compliance.
  • Drive standardization and harmonization of ESPP delivery processes globally.
  • Support future ESPP program expansions.

Your Background:

  • Significant experience in HR Operations and relevant domains such as Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Global Mobility, Equity or Share Plan Administration.

  • 5-8 years experience in process management and service delivery, ideally in global organizations and with international exposure,

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and employee share plan operations (not only policy).

  • Experience with controls, HR technologies (such as Workday), reporting, documentation creation and management, process improvements

  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
