Skill: GLOSS Mainframe Developer
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
• 10+ years of experience in Mainframe application development and support.
• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL LE, DB2, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and Online/Batch programming.
• Experience programming and implementing changes in GLOSS and other Mainframe-based applications.
• Strong understanding of Mainframe application architecture, development, and maintenance.
• Ability to perform effective unit testing and integration testing.
• Strong experience with DB2 development, SQL, and performance optimization.
• Strong skills in using File Manager and IBM Debug Tool.
• Strong background in IBM MQ / IBM WBE.
• Knowledge of TMON for CICS performance analysis is desirable.
• Knowledge of BMC MainView for DB2 performance monitoring is desirable.
• Experience working with distributed teams and Agile environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Financial Services experience is desirable but not mandatory.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
• Implement changes for GLOSS and other Mainframe applications.
• Perform impact analysis, coding, unit testing, and integration testing activities.
• Troubleshoot application, CICS, DB2, and MQ-related issues.
• Support production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and support teams to deliver quality solutions.
• Monitor and improve application performance using available tools and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, deployments, and documentation activities.
• Ensure adherence to development standards and governance processes.
Salary Range - $100,000-$125,000 a year
