Role: QA Lead - Data Automation (Python/DB2)
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Test Automation, and Data Validation.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python development and automation testing.
• Strong experience with DB2 SQL and database validation techniques.
• Experience leading QA activities for data migration, ETL, data warehouse, reporting, and risk management projects.
• Strong expertise in source-to-target data validation, reconciliation, and data quality testing.
• Experience validating enterprise, regulatory, and risk reporting applications.
• Experience designing and developing Python-based automation frameworks for data and reporting validation.
• Strong understanding of QA strategy, test planning, test execution, and release sign-off processes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• Experience using Copilot and AI tools to improve testing productivity and quality engineering practices.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and QA best practices.
• Experience validating ETL pipelines, data warehouse loads, batch processes, and reporting systems.
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience with enterprise databases such as DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Own and drive QA strategy and delivery for data migration and reporting initiatives.
• Lead source-to-target data validation and reconciliation across multiple data sources.
• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation solutions for data and report testing.
• Validate ETL pipelines, data warehouse loads, batch processes, and reporting applications.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of enterprise, regulatory, and risk reports.
• Define test plans, automation approaches, validation frameworks, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Lead defect triage sessions, risk assessments, and release sign-off activities.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
• Monitor test execution, analyze results, and provide quality metrics and status updates.
• Drive automation adoption and continuous improvement initiatives across QA teams.
• Mentor QA engineers and provide technical leadership for data quality and automation efforts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies effectively.
Salary Range - $80,000-$100,000 a year
