Seize this opportunity as a skilled Protection Engineer to design and produce high quality protection engineering solutions for Hitachi Energy as we respond to a rapidly developing renewable energy sector.

You’ll use your knowledge and expertise to understand customer specifications and identify potential improvements, whilst maximizing efficiency and minimizing project risk. Providing you with fresh new challenges and the opportunity to manage detailed protection engineering design projects of varying degrees of complexity. You will work in close consultation with the customer, contract project manager and wider Hitachi team. Drawing from specialist experience from within the energy market, specifically Grid Automation, you will devise protection engineering solutions tailored to our client’s specifications.  Using the latest software you’ll execute detailed designs within agreed timescales, scoped out within budget and in line with quality standards and H&S requirements. Key to the success of this role is communication. You will know how to handle customers on technical issues as their trusted expert and be comfortable interacting with official contacts and contractors as you proactively provide expertise and guidance and take a leading role.
