Right now, the company is experiencing growth across the country, and we are looking for smart and energised Through Life Support Facility (TLSF) Lab Manager to join our team as part of the DDG Combat System Support Agent (DCSSA).

This role will be responsible for the day- to- day coordination and task execution to enable execution of the technical services such as planned and corrective maintenance activities and technical investigations. There will also be a degree of fault finding and rectification of equipment used in line with the unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site TLSF facility subject matter expert by providing system expertise and advice to users of the facility
• Conduct risk assessments of EHS hazards, regulatory compliance and propose solutions.
• Timely and effective communication of hazards, defects and design or maintenance deficiencies. 
• Coordinate with DDG Enterprise partners and CoA stakeholders to enable access and schedule user activities to avoid clashes, enable planned and corrective maintenance
• Identify potential issues and areas for improvement within the TLSF facility.
• Support TLSF users during specific test and integration events
• Manage and report equipment operational status
• Support DCSSC engineering teams to install, test, integrate new equipment
• Repair and/or assembly of subassemblies
• Conduct planned or corrective maintenance on DDG ships or Shore Facilities
   

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience in a maintenance environment
• Cert III in an engineering-related discipline, or equivalent experience 
• Previous exposure to Defence sustainment activities 
• Ability to work in team environment 
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Requires advanced knowledge of technical equipment maintenance
• Practical knowledge and experience with maintenance management information systems
• Experience using CAD 2D drawing packages
• Familiarity working within ISO Quality Standards
• Knowledge of Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-suitability
