About the Role
An opportunity currently exists for Grade 2 Dietitian to join the Nutrition & Dietetics team in part time, fixed position. Accountable to the Manager, you will be largely responsible for the delivery of a high quality Dietetics service to Residential Aged Care services and a small GEM caseload. Previous work experience in RAC and sub-acute settings is highly desired to be successful in this role
Provide person-centred care - nutrition assessment, treatment, re-evaluation, documentation, and team liaison
Establish, develop and maintain strong and positive working relationships within relevant care teams, referral sources, participating agencies and other service providers
Provide supervision, guidance, support, direction and evaluation of dietetics students
Actively participate in departmental clinical supervision program
Actively participate in meeting health service and aged care accreditation standards
Classifications for this position will range from AJ1 - AJ4 ($92,627 - $104,811 per annum, pro rata for part time)
Your Contribution
Qualifications providing eligibility for full membership of DA and the APD program
Minimum of two (2) years’ post-graduate experience in a relevant field of dietetics.
Highly developed skills of organisation, planning and problem solving
Highly developed interpersonal skills that incorporate the qualities of excellent communication and teamwork
Well-developed teaching and supervision skills

Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

The Nutrition Department
The Nutrition Department provides Nutrition & Dietetics services to all areas of SVHM including acute and sub-acute wards, designated outpatient clinics, St George’s Hospital, and Residential Care Facilities. The Nutrition Department is a core placement site for the clinical supervision of Nutrition and Dietetic students and has several research interests.
