What you will do
As the Associate Machinist, you will set up and operate machinery and inspect machined components using precision measuring equipment while keeping production records and maintenance logs.
- Set up and perform frequent to regular tasks using standard procedures and various conventional and/or manual machine tools.
- Work from engineering drawings and/or specifications.
- Comply with and maintain documentation and records.
- Determine tool offsets and load tooling into machinery at correct settings.
- Use precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet engineering specifications.
- Assist maintenance personnel with routine maintenance.
- Train others on operational and/or documentation procedures.
What you will need
- High School Diploma required
- 2+ years related Machining experience required
- Ability to set up and operate complex equipment required
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently, or 20 pounds of force constantly required
- Ability to read blueprints preferred
- General understanding of GD&T preferred
- Experience with Citizen L20 or DMG Mori NZX machines preferred
