About the Role
This critical position within SVHM is responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care within a specific area in the Emergency Department under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, you will be required to use your exceptional clinical skills to efficiently and accurately plan, coordinate and evaluate care needs to ensure high quality care in a rapidly changing environment.
Additionally, you will:
Administer medication in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies
Document, observe and report relevant findings within the framework of nursing progress
Liaise with patient, patient’s family, medical and ancillary staff as required
Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 base salary per annum).

You will also have:
Current condition free registration with AHPRA
Demonstrated previous experience as a Registered Nurse
Previous nursing experience in an Emergency Department is highly desirable

About our Emergency Department
The supportive and dedicated team in the Emergency Department manage 2 resuscitation bays, 16 cubicles, 5 fast track chairs and 15 Emergency short stay beds. In addition to this, there is a behavioural assessment room, procedure and a plaster room as well as a triage assessment chair and a 3-chair diagnostic lounge which supports patient flow into the department. Our multidisciplinary team in the Department share a wide range of skills and knowledge which allows for effective care coordination for Emergency Department Patients.
