Key areas of responsibility:
- Direct oversight of team that ensures accurate and timely completion of monthly reporting, projections, and annual cost standard development
- Lead and provide monthly analyses and concisely communicate results to senior management, executives and project teams
- Deliver high-quality, concise narratives of significant variances to prior year, budget, and forecast.
- Highlight trends and significant drivers of forecast (tell the story).
- Communicate projections and budgets.
- Provide financial partnership to the business and ensure results consistent with budget and projections, challenge spending to reduce total costs, and provide visibility to spending and key metrics to drive performance improvements and standardization.
- Provide technical expertise and advice on financial issues to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
- Ensure that adequate internal financial controls exist and are adhered to within the facility
- Work closely with financial accounting team to ensure that the financial accounts and the payroll are prepared within the set timelines.
Qualifications, Skills, & Knowledge:
- A Degree in Accounting or equivalent discipline is required.
- 10+ years progressive Finance / Accounting experience with expertise in US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley Act, and Financial Modeling.
- Excellent English speaking / communication skills
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and leadership experience with an emphasis on relationship management with all levels within an organization of comparable size and structure
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-discipline, high-performance work teams/groups and managing resources to meet organizational goals across multiple projects
- Superior oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment and diplomacy when interacting and/ or negotiating with internal and external customers, and senior management, and ability to communicate with others in antagonistic situations using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict and maintain professionalism in accordance with corporate standards
- High level of PC skills required. The successful candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint packages.
