Continuous Improvement Lead:
Role: Permanent & Hybrid
Location: Can be based across any of our Ireland sites in Cork & Limerick.
Position Summary:
This individual contributor role is an exciting opportunity to drive continuous improvement and lean within New Product Introduction for Advanced Operations TECS (Trauma & Extremities, Craniomaxillofacial and Spine) and will involve:
Deploying lean tools and coaching project teams on the principles of continuous improvement and lean, inspiring a bottom-up approach of 1% better every day.
Influencing change and making recommendations to set direction for a top-down approach to continuous improvement and lean.
Facilitating Kaizen workshops and sponsoring initiatives to improve business and manufacturing processes, and to reduce cost and time to market.
Working as part of Advanced Operations’ global continuous improvement team, to set the strategy and advance the culture globally.
What you will do:
Drive the development, assessment, recommendations, and implementation of continuous improvement/re-engineering initiatives to simplify processes, eliminate waste, reduce operational risk and achieve cost efficiencies in the new product introduction process.
Lead events and activities using Kaizen, Managing for Daily Improvement, A3 problem solving, and other suitable methodologies.
Develop a customer-focused CI framework that documents and monitors performances. Support initiatives through robust data driven analytics.
Train, coach, and mentor designated teams and individuals within the business on lean concepts and support the business to meet/exceed budgets.
Provide management support to remove barriers and facilitate conflict resolution in matrix organization.
Partner with leadership and Project Management Organisation to define and measure relevant KPIs.
What You Need:
Bachelors Degree
6+ years in a technical background ideally (also open to business)
High energy and change management mindset
Technically and organizationally curious and knowledgeable
Lean Leader/Six Sigma (certification preferred)
Project Management skills (certification preferred)
4-7 years’ experience with defining and executing continuous improvement initiatives
3-5 years’ experience in a regulated industry
Ability to work in team oriented environment and creating strong alliances
Ability to manage multiple programs
Experience and track record of success in the rollout of continuous improvement programs at the division level.
A true change agent who can lead diverse groups across the organization in implementing new programs and ideas.
