Job purpose
As a Business Advisor play a key role in advising and supporting our internal client serving teams. You will support them in making the best use of the ERP (SAP) and its processes in order to effectively manage their projects with our external clients. You will have the possibility to provide high quality, data driven financial advice to our internal customers. Your key responsibilities
You will work with our Finance team to reach out to client serving teams and assist on their financials. On a daily basis you will help them by monitoring all data on their engagements/projects. You will be an expert in the ERP (SAP) related processes and economics support. You will support our organization to navigate and leverage the ERP in the best possible way to ensure positive margin development. You will be their first point of contact to advise on all aspects of Project system’s lifecycle; policies and protocols; and financial tools. As finance associate you will report on any inconsistencies working together with the fee earners and use exception analytics to identify where advice to enhance margin is warranted on the Service Line’s less complex opportunities, engagements and portfolios and leverage your insights to help the partner to shape initiatives and strategies that will lead to improved margin performance.Your responsibilities in short will be;
- Daily review of detect controls reports (low margin, impact of ETC (Estimate to complete) - focus on identifying user and system errors to make sure data is correct
- On demand support on the ERP related questions via different channels available (chats, IT ticket, phones, emails, Teams)
- Weekly discussion with engagement leader and keep the Book of Business up to date
- Review aged unbilled inventory
- Share mercury knowledge and educate Client Servers on EY best practices/policies etc.
Skills and attributes for success
You should be able to work with limited supervision and demonstrate self-drive and also prioritize workload and deliver outputs within strict deadlines. As an ideal candidate, you should have a strong desire to help and support people requiring assistance and you have to be a fantastic team player.
Requirements
- A very good knowledge of the English and Hungarian language
- Graduate and/ or professional certificates in a business related subject matter ( i.e. Accounting or Finance )
- Professional approach, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
- Strong communication and partnering skills with people of all levels in the firm.
- Ability to view issues through the client serving teams’ lens.
- Highly effective in virtual teaming and influencing skills.
