Enterprise Financial Services (“EFS”) is an expanding team of process experts and accounting professionals who provide various shared services to The Walt Disney Company (including all business segments). The team is located globally and provides global transaction strategies, processes, and services for accounts payable, procurement services, payroll operations, records information management, and travel and entertainment management functions.
Global Travel and Expense Management oversees all of the technology, processes, and systems that drive travel booking, expense settlement, credit card issuance, expense auditing, and end-user support in accordance with the guidelines of The Walt Disney Company’s Travel & Entertainment policy.
Position Overview
EFS is seeking an Associate Financial Analyst to help maintain compliance with Global Travel & Expense policies through the timely and accurate review of employee expense reports, audits of exception reports, and preparation of general ledger account reconciliation and payment files. Reporting directly to the Manager, Travel & Expense Audit Support Services, this position will be a key contributor to the overall compliance efforts of the Shanghai Disney Resort and the greater Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
• Review employee expense claims to ensure compliance with SHDR T&E policy
• Review periodic exception reports and partner with SHDR employees, leaders, and Controllership as necessary to resolve any items out of compliance with T&E policy
• Prepare necessary hardcopy receipt documentation to ensure compliance with SHDR joint venture agreement
• Sort and file the expense reports and supporting documentation in accordance with T&E Policy, JV agreement, and TWDC record retention policies
• Work with Cashier to produce timely disbursements to employees, per company schedule, and only in support of pre-approved expense claims
• Prepare VAT invoice documentation to assist in the recovery of VAT tax
• Timely and accurately address employee T&E customer service inquiries
• Support travel account reconciliations by assembling clear, efficient work papers for the T&E Financial Analyst
• Support internal / external audits
• Maintain and develop good working relationship with internal & external business partners, streamline processes and make suggestions to improve efficiency whenever necessary
• Provide support to ad hoc projects, including the assessment to digitize hardcopy receipts.
• Support the team to fulfill team tasks
• Perform the critical functions of the T&E Financial Analyst in her absence
Required Qualifications
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Detail oriented, self-motivated
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a project team-oriented environment in a complex and diverse business unit of a multi-national company
• Proficiency with the Microsoft suite
• Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English
• Adaptable to competing priorities
Desired Qualifications
• Experience with SAP system
• Familiarity with PRC GAAP and tax laws
• Experience with travel and expense processes
