Welcome to The Australian International College Website. It is a privilege to serve you all as the principal of our three campuses. MashaAllah, I am blessed to be working very closely with very enthusiastic students who are willing to learn, supportive parents/guardians interested in their children's education, and dedicated professional staff and board committed to providing quality education.
Our core objectives are to ensure that students have all the skills, knowledge, and attributes that would be expected after 13 years of schooling so that their personal growth enables them to have the capacity to participate as responsible and productive citizens of this beautiful country, Australia.
Our dedicated staff has put in many hours of professional learning, planning, and preparation for the new Australian curriculum and, in particular, in the areas of Numeracy and Literacy. This should provide you, our parents, and students with confidence in our College as an academic excellence provider.
Australian International Islamic College provides an excellent academic program, but, by itself and without each student's commitment, success will be limited. I need every student to own their responsibility for their learning, and this process begins in the quietness of their homes when parents discuss these issues and help their children set realistic goals for the year ahead. I want to encourage each parent/guardian to be active in their child's education. I certainly realize that many of you lead busy lives; however, taking just a few minutes in the evening to read to your child, talk with your child about school, or see that your child is organized for the next school day can significantly benefit.
The curriculum at the Australian International Islamic College endeavors to empower every student to achieve success in their learning through the development of life-long learning skills. With Australian / Islamic values integrated throughout the curriculum, students are encouraged to value multiculturalism locally and globally. All curriculum guidelines are based on the QSA Syllabus materials and guidelines. As Australia moved towards a National Curriculum, the implementation of National Standards is implemented at our College. We encourage you to view the subjects offered/curriculum at our College and direct any further questions at the College.
The Australian International Islamic College (AIIC) began its journey back in 2002, with the Buranda Campus opening. Back then, it was known as the Brisbane Muslim School and began with 20 students, from grades 1 – 3. In its second year of operation, the school year range was extended to accommodate year levels from Preschool to Year 5, as enrolments had doubled to 60 students.
