Pulaski Academy offers a unique and distinctive college preparatory educational experience. Whether you are just beginning to research the options for your child’s education, are looking for a new academic environment, or are new to Arkansas, we invite you to discover PA. PA’s Vision to be the “Leader in Innovation” and our Mission “to inspire students to explore, create, contribute, and achieve” animate everything we do.
We seek an exciting and relevant balance among the traditional 3 R’s (Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic), digital literacy, and the 21st Century skills of critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, creativity, and cross-cultural understanding. PA embraces all faiths, races, and cultures and occupies a unique space in Little Rock as the only 2.5-year old through grade 12, independent, non-sectarian school.
We are committed to excellence and high achievement in academics, fine arts, and athletics. Our faculty meet students where they are and guide them to make the most of their natural gifts in an environment that is challenging, supportive, and exciting all at the same time! Our faculty and staff go above and beyond to communicate proactively with our families so that student progress can be encouraged and sustained, setbacks can be minimized, and minor issues can be quickly settled before they become more significant problems.
The hallmark of an excellent college-preparatory school is its innovative and vibrant educational program. At Pulaski Academy, our education program is driven by our mission “Inspiring students to Explore, Create, Contribute and Achieve.”Although the interpretation of the mission changes as students move through our Early Childhood School, Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School, our ultimate goal is to provide inspiring opportunities and the appropriate structure for our students to grow into self-reliant, successful students prepared to take their education and talents to each new level. Our educational program embraces a balanced approach with strong academics and a robust extracurricular program. In addition to electives in STEM and the humanities, opportunities in technology, art, music, sports, and clubs abound. We are confident that that Pulaski Academy graduates are exceptionally well prepared for college, well prepared to serve as leaders in their chosen fields, and well prepared to appreciate the world and culture around them.
Pulaski Academy’s optional 11-day College Trip is an excellent opportunity for juniors to visit a wide variety of colleges and universities on both small and large campuses in rural communities as well as large cities. By visiting with college admissions representatives and touring campuses with college students, PA juniors learn about different schools and other factors affecting the college decision making process. The College Trip provides a first-hand experience and more personal information than any viewbook, brochure, or college handbook could explain. As a result of the College Trip experience, students enter their senior year with a greater appreciation of what they are looking for in a college.
