Educate, Inspire, Empower defines the mission of The Ursuline School and has done so for over 115 years. Nevermore relevant than in the 21st century, these objectives are met in the classroom, at our liturgies, and on both the stage and athletic field. The Ursuline School, committed to its Ursuline identity and Catholic teachings, is a unique school community. Our students are introduced to academic success and personal development through a wide range of experiences. Ursuline's commitment to Serviam encourages each student to recognize the rewards and obligations of living in the global community of the 21st century.

Our middle school students are welcomed by our high school students, providing an opportunity for sisterhood and the caring community so important in early adolescence. Our high school students experience a wide range of academic course options and individualize their course selections based on their gifts and passions.

The Ursuline School embraced technology over 16 years ago with a one-to-one laptop program, and we continue to lead in this area. Now we are a Bring Your Device institution. Technology opens the learning arena to a limitless, global environment. Experts are consulted, cultures are studied through direct experience, and innovative thinking solutions are sought.

Founded in 1897 by St. Ursula's order, The Ursuline School is a Catholic college preparatory school dedicated to the intellectual, spiritual, and moral development of young women. Rooted in the counsels of St. Angela Merici, founder of the Ursuline Sisters, the school community's mission is to educate, inspire, and empower young women to learn, lead, and serve.

Committed to academic excellence and every individual's value, the school challenges each student to develop and share her unique gifts within the school and into the broader community. In a student-centered atmosphere devoted to caring and concern, our young women are encouraged to celebrate the richness of their diverse ethnic, socio-economic, and religious backgrounds, uniting them as students and as Ursuline alumnae. Seeking to model St. Angela's teachings, the dedicated, talented, and caring faculty, administration, and staff inspire our students not only to learn but also to question, reflect, and challenge. The school's mission is to provide young women, grades 6 through 12, with a challenging, intellectually stimulating, student-centered environment in which academic and personal achievements are expected. Under its tradition of academic excellence, the school provides various learning experiences designed to develop each student's intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and creative problem solving and foster a lifelong commitment to learning. With a diverse student population, the Ursuline community promotes respect for the multi-cultural world and provides a range of opportunities to develop a global perspective. Rooted in the truth and values of the teachings of Jesus Christ, the school community tries to develop a sense of personal worth and self-discipline in each student, enabling her to become an influential ethical decision-making member of today's complex society. Each student is encouraged to discover and realize her talents to exercise responsible leadership in ever-widening circles.

Ursuline has traditionally been marked by a unique spirit in which every effort is made to elicit the best from each young woman.
