Saint Mary's Hall was founded in 1879 on the principles of knowledge, self-confidence, and respect for others. Initially organized by the Episcopal Church, Saint Mary's Hall is now an independent and coeducational campus for all faiths students and families. The mission of Saint Mary's Hall is to prepare our students for success in college and fulfillment in life. Our mission is accomplished by:

• Hiring and supporting outstanding faculty who are experts in their discipline.
• Providing the management and long-term planning necessary to provide sufficient resources.
• Providing a rigorous, challenging, and wide-ranging curriculum and academic program.
• Utilizing problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking in daily instruction.
• Infusing character development and core values education into all segments of school life.
• Offering, supporting, and encouraging multiple activities that provide opportunities for participation in fine arts, athletics, leadership, and community service.
• Supporting students in their faith while instilling universal values for life.
• Creating and supporting a safe and supportive learning environment.

No one at Saint Mary's Hall goes it alone. We create a culture of trust where every student is known and nurtured - by their teachers, each other, and in turn, themselves. Widely recognized throughout the region as an academic powerhouse, Saint Mary's Hall offers students a rich curriculum, carefully crafted to connect across the disciplines. Students begin building the essential knowledge and skills that prepare them for challenging, higher-level studies beyond our school from their earliest days on our campus.

Each student at Saint Mary's Hall is known and encouraged by innovative and experienced faculty to reach their full potential in all subject areas through our vertically aligned curriculum in Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School.

Much like a liberal arts college, the rigorous curriculum that imparts broad knowledge and encourages intellectual discourse challenges students to become critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers and ultimately prepares them to succeed at top colleges and find fulfillment in life.
