The 3,000 students at The Sage Colleges pursue bachelor's, masters, and doctoral degrees on campuses in Troy and Albany, NY, and online.

Programs are available at the coeducational Sage College of Albany in New York's capital city, the historic Russell Sage College for women in downtown Troy the graduate-level Esteves School of Education, School of Health Sciences, and the School of Management, which operate on both campuses and online through Russell Sage Online.

Students participate in a learning environment that offers varied interdisciplinary academics, community engagement opportunities, options to study abroad, and a range of artistic and athletic endeavors.

Our flexible degree completion and certificate programs give you the freedom to design your future. The Office(s) of Academic Advising helps undergraduate students navigate their way through their college education and degree requirements, one step at a time. Students receive help in choosing their major, selecting courses to fulfill their chosen essential requirements, and tailoring their college education to prepare them for career or further study.

Service-learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service into courses to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities. Students across departments, majors, and levels of Study partake in service-learning courses at The Sage Colleges.

Research activity at Sage involves a multidisciplinary professional research community comprised of faculty, students, colleagues, and community partners. The Associate Provost provides guidance and support to faculty members applying for external research grants and fellowships to fund their research and scholarly/creative activities.

Sage offers many opportunities for students to explore the world through Study Abroad and Study Away programs. Such experiences are essential to gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in today's global society.

Sage is affiliated with several other institutions and organizations to offer a wide variety of Study abroad opportunities. Whatever the major, a deeper understanding of another culture and more proficiency in another language can help achieve one's goals.

Preparing for Study abroad includes meeting with a representative of The Sage College's Financial Aid Office to determine eligibility. Specific details regarding how financial aid will impact Study abroad travel is made on an individual basis.

The Student Life division provides programs, services, opportunities, and environments for students to become involved in educationally purposeful activities outside of the classroom. The program is intended to build responsible communities of learners and support each student's educational and personal development, help students accomplish their educational goals, and prepare students to lead in finding solutions to significant societal challenges.

Academic inquiry and artistic expression find synergy at Sage. The Theatre Institute at Sage provides arts-in-education programming to area youth, and the Opalka Gallery has attracted prestigious visual exhibitions to the area.
