Established in 1889, Roanoke Catholic is a regional Catholic school under the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, Office of Catholic Schools. A co-educational, college preparatory school located in Roanoke, Virginia, the student body is composed of young men and women from varied socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds who reflect the greater Roanoke Valley's diversity.
Roanoke Catholic School is dedicated to excellence in education and the spiritual development of youth within the framework of the Gospel and the Catholic Church tradition. We strive to instill a lifelong commitment to learning, Christian values, and community service in our students. We are dedicated to achieving these goals in a supportive Christian community. Our fundamental task is to educate the whole person, blending learning with faith and faith in daily life.
For more than 130 years, we have served the Roanoke Valley with an emphasis on faith in the Gospel message, family values, and the aspiration for excellence as defining the learning community's hallmarks. We recognize the significant investment that families make to send their children to Roanoke Catholic School, which is why we work just as hard to provide the most value for that investment.
We are proud to note that our graduates have a 100 percent college acceptance rate and earn, on average more than $3 million per year in college scholarships. Furthermore, through our dual-enrollment and Advanced Placement courses, our students have the potential to earn as many as 24 college credits — or a full year's worth of college — while still at Roanoke Catholic.
