The goal of the Minsk Innovation University as any higher education institution is to provide functions of educational, innovation, and cultural center. We are achieving this goal utilizing science, which is intended to serve as a binding instrument for implementing these functions. Research Department is a part of the institute, engaged in planning, organizing, monitoring, and accounting of research and training of Ph.D. and Grand Ph.D. holders.

Minsk Innovation University includes:

• Its own educational and auxiliary areas (over 33000 sq. m.).
• Fifteen modern computer labs provided with the latest generation technologies and Internet access.
• Two language laboratories with satellite television and audio and video equipment for foreign language classes.
• Sixty-one specialized classrooms equipped with multimedia systems.
• A library with a total item of the literature of over 50 000 volumes, which is open double shift throughout the academic year three reading halls able to accommodate 439 people automated literature sources database xerox and computer scanning center.
• A sports hall, a gymnasium, an aerobics hall, a therapeutic physical training hall, equipment for sport and games, and open sports grounds are two volleyball, two basketball, 1 – indoor soccer, and one excellent tennis court.
• A publishing center with a license for printing educational, scientific, advertising, fictional, and reference literature as well as three scientific periodicals: Economics and Management, Innovative Educational Technologies, Current Issues of Science in the 21st century.
• Four cafeterias open throughout the day.
• A first-aid office.
• An educational center in a health-resort zone in the Minsk region, Molodechno district.
• Two book shops.

The availability of our publishing base allows the University to publish educational and other literature and speeds up the issuing process, which influences the educational process. There are over 7000 full time, and extramural students studying at Minsk Innovation University and more than 175 qualified lecturers, including 12 grand Ph.D. of science, professors, and 62 Ph.D. of science, associate professors and others teach them. The Council of the University determines the development prospects of the University, educational technology, scientific research, and the current educational process. The rector of Minsk Innovation University Nikolay V. Susha is the chairman of this council.

The University has two faculties and offers students the following specialties:

• Faculty of Communication and Law.
• Faculty of Economics.

The University focuses its attention on the problems of system organization as well as managing the educational process, optimizing educational plans and programs for University majors, creating quality modular courses, developing forms, methods, and criteria for controlling students' knowledge and teachers' training. To introduce innovative teaching technologies in the educational process, the University is developing an integrated information system of managing a higher educational institution. It introduces modern technologies of testing, provides students with methodic materials on electronic mediums, supplies extramural students with systematic materials, and so on. In order to promote the future scientific and educational activity, the University offers training for post-graduate students on the two following majors: "Economics and national economy management" and "Civil law business law family law international private law." It also trains students for Masters Degrees on the 14 following majors: "Germanic languages," "Psychology," "Jurisprudence," "World economics," "Finances, money circulation and credit," "Economics and national economy management," "Business accounting, statistics," "Management in social and economic systems," System analysis, management, and information processing," "Environmental design," "Finance and credit," "Accounting, analysis and auditing," "Economics and management at enterprises," "Marketing." The University is also offering a doctorate course in "Economics and national economy management" since 2004.

The University places particular emphasis on scientific and educational cooperation with both national and international higher educational institutions. Minsk Innovation University has cooperation agreements with many foreign higher educational institutions.

Minsk Innovation University was established in the times of restructuring when the country needed highly qualified experts to positively influence the economic, scientific, and social development of the Republic of Belarus. To train such highly qualified experts, the University uses the scientific potential of its faculties and material resources and educational base to the maximum. This sets particular objectives for enhancing the educational process and its correlation with scientific and research activities. The faculty and students' participation in the development of scientific projects for organizations, as well as their technical and feasibility studies and support during their implementation, is expanding.

The University holds regular International scientific conferences for both faculty and students, followed by the publication of conference materials. New majors and specializations are introduced to meet the Republic of Belarus' labor market requirements. New academic plans that take modern demands to graduates into consideration are being developed while they are introduced. Educational systems for the studied disciplines, including lecture materials, guidelines for extramural student and practical lab work and term papers, seminar topics, problem compilations, and so on, are being developed. Today modern software is widely used in preparing and training skilled specialists.
