Continue your educational journey under the close tutelage of professors who are both accomplished academics and noted practitioners in their fields. Courses are designed to fit your busy schedule, and most programs can be completed within 1-2 years.
Complete the degree you have always wanted in a setting that combines the traditional classroom experience with flexible hours and online opportunities. The convenient evening courses are taught in an accelerated format, enabling you to complete your degree faster, but you can always finish at your own pace. When you come to the Mount, we want you to expect great things from yourself. Our job is to help you achieve your goals. That is what we do. Our faculty and staff are committed to your success. They have developed unique programs, experiential opportunities, and co-curricular activities to ensure you have the support and experience you need to succeed.
The C.S.E.S. is an excellent example of our commitment to your achievement. The Center is THE place to go when you need something or have a question and do not know where to get the answer. The C.S.E.S. staff provides timely and helpful resources for everything, from academics to social activities. If they cannot solve your problem, they will work with you to locate an office or department on campus that can.
At the Mount, we see advising as a form of teaching. That is why each Mount student is paired with one of their professors for advising. Beyond the formal matters of approving course schedules and monitoring your academic progress, your faculty advisor has probably already had you in their class. Hence, they get to know you, your interests and goals and dreams for the future.
As an academically gifted student, you may be invited to join the Honors Program as an incoming student, or you may ask to join after your first year of study. This advanced educational experience integrates curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular learning and culminates in an intensive research project in your major during your senior year.
Learning Services is another excellent resource for students seeking to maximize their success here at the Mount. This office provides comprehensive support services to our students with disabilities. It offers a wide variety of programs and services designed to help students succeed in their studies - from study strategies and peer tutoring to development of vital educational skills such as time management, note-taking, test-taking, memory strategies, and more. Be a part of something bigger than yourself —engage in some of the 70+ student-run clubs, organizations, causes, and traditions that energize our campus environment from brewing club to ballroom dance to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and more. A large part of life at the Mount is learning leadership skills that will help you personally and professionally. University leadership development programs such as A.M.P., C.O.R.E., Outdoor Adventures (CRUX), and P.E.A.C.E. are experiential – you learn while doing and build upon your academics in a more hands-on way.
