We are among the lowest-priced boarding schools in America. Oakdale was the first boarding school in America accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Founded nearly 100 years ago, the school’s mission is to introduce young people to a life of purpose, through discovering a more vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. Oakdale is a Christ-centered academic and boarding school serving middle school and high school boys and girls in grades 7-12. That remains the driving commitment today.

  • Oakdale Christian Academy is a Christ-centered academic and boarding school serving boys and girls in grades 7-12. We enroll 60 students at our 12-acre campus located eight miles from Jackson, KY.
  • We feature a traditional college-preparatory curriculum providing an academic program that produces a college acceptance rate of over 90%.
  • Annually, we enroll students from 20 states and eight countries. 15% of our students are international, and 40% are non-white.
  • At Oakdale, we maintain an overall 2-1 student-staff ratio, with two full-time dorm deans per 20-student dorm unit. Typically these low student-staff ratios are financially out of reach for many families, but we strive to make our quality education available to anyone. 80% of our students receive financial aid.
  • Oakdale Christian Academy is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools through advanced. We are affiliated with the Free Methodist Church-USA and were the first U.S. school to receive boarding accreditation by ACSI.

The fully accredited education provided by Oakdale Christian Academy provides a solid traditional curriculum as well as courses providing skills for college and university study and the contemporary workplace. This quality education, which is delivered with a Biblical worldview, is rigorous and challenging to every student. Advanced and college-level courses ensure that even the most gifted students will be intellectually challenged.

While the curriculum is demanding, the support is abundant. Faculty members are available to provide extra help for serious students after school or during a mutually agreed period. Residential students have a mandatory evening study hall which is supervised and supported by their dorm parents. Students who are limited or restricted are required to have Saturday study hall as well.

Parents can monitor students' progress on an ongoing basis through the online GradeLink program. Report cards are mailed home at the end of every grading period (4 times a year).

Oakdale has created an environment conducive to successful learning. Since class size averages only eleven students, teachers know the strengths, weaknesses, and potential of each student. Participation and interaction are encouraged, and Oakdale classrooms are filled with the excitement of energetic discussions that sharpen the intellect and deepen students’ understanding of their subjects. At the same time, a Christian worldview permeates Oakdale’s academics, allowing students the opportunity to pursue knowledge and truth in an environment grounded in scripture and rich with grace.
