Founded in 1947, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is an independent, college preparatory school for students in pre-K3 through 12th grade. St. Andrew’s Episcopal School has earned a national reputation for academic excellence, but we understand that an outstanding educational experience isn’t limited to academics.

Our mission is “To nurture a diverse community in the Episcopal tradition, fostering spiritual growth, moral responsibility, academic excellence, and artistic and athletic pursuits, while preparing for a life of service to our community and the world.” Our values are vibrantly present in the lives of every member of the St. Andrew’s family, every single day. At St. Andrew’s Episcopal School we believe in:

  • A lifelong dedication to learning
  • Truth, honesty, and integrity
  • The dignity of every human being
  • The pursuit of excellence in all our endeavors
  • The talents and strengths of every individual
  • Stewardship of the resources of our school, community, and world
  • Service to others

Since its founding, St. Andrew's mission has been our constant guide, enabling the school to honor its core values while charting a path into an educational future still to unfold. Grounded in our Episcopal heritage and committed to an educational environment that values all facets of a child's development, we are reminded each day that these formative years serve as the foundation for an entire lifetime of learning.

As you continue your search for the perfect school, we want St. Andrew's to become fully known to you, enabling your family to make informed educational decisions that are right for each child. On our two campuses, you will encounter a diverse community of joyful learners embracing a developmentally appropriate academic program. In addition, the St. Andrew's experience includes a full complement of co-curricular programming through our robust offerings in the arts and our consistently successful athletics program. Along the way each of our Saints is guided by the St. Andrew's Honor Code that reinforces their moral compass long after graduation.

While some St. Andrew’s students are math whizzes or gifted writers, others were born to paint a portrait or perform a song. Some students excel on the field or the court, while others are more at home conducting experiments in a physics or robotics lab. Some are natural leaders, while others are the glue that binds a team together. Some students long to see the world, while others want to serve in their communities.

That’s why St. Andrew’s doesn’t stop with challenging students in the classroom. Instead, St. Andrew’s helps each student explore his or her interests and strengths, and then teaches students how to build on those unique gifts for success not only at St. Andrew’s, but also in college, in a career, and life. St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is the place to find your inner genius, your hidden talent, or your championship season. It’s the place to find your strength, your passion, and your path to future success.

St. Andrew’s is a close-knit community of students, parents, and teachers of many faiths, cultures, races, and economic backgrounds. Founded in the Episcopal tradition, St. Andrew’s is inclusive and supportive of the beliefs of others. Diversity is celebrated, and students are accepting, open to befriending people of many backgrounds.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is an educational community that strives to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves. We express our faith and tradition through our chapel services, our community life, and our focus on both spiritual growth and religious formation. St. Andrew’s began within the walls of St. Andrew’s Cathedral, a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi, and we are thankful to have a continuing relationship with the Cathedral.

Our teachers are experts in their fields who know how to engage their students. Many St. Andrew’s instructors hold master’s degrees, and several have earned doctoral degrees. All St. Andrew’s teachers participate in continuing education programs, ensuring they are familiar with the latest pedagogical developments and technologies for their areas of specialty.
