Elsa High School is committed to providing the very best in Jewish and secular education by providing a rich and balanced curriculum to suit the needs of our students and the demands of the 21st century. Elsa sets high expectations for all students through a broad and challenging curriculum.
At Elsa, we provide a unique program integrating the best of international, religious, and secular education English, Hebrew, Mandarin, French, and Spanish as languages of instruction an international perspective rooted in Jewish ethos, philosophy, and values, and a commitment to partnerships between staff, students, parents, and the community.
Elsa High School is an IB World School authorized for and currently offering the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grade 6 to 10 and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) for Grade 11 and 12.
The curriculum framework is based upon the fundamental concepts and objectives of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, which is a highly regarded, internationally recognized educational standard, providing access to the best in tertiary opportunities around the world and creating lifelong learners who aim to make a difference. The school has embraced these programs because the learning attributes it espouses closely resemble the school's own.
Our Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) Program strives to bring together students, teachers, and the community to undertake activities that encourage a lifelong love of learning. CCA is an umbrella term for all of Carmel School Association's after-school programs in creative, academic, sporting and service fields. It also connects directly with the Global Contexts element of the IB Middle Years Programme and the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) element of the IB Diploma Programme.
All High School students choose one CCA program on a Monday that runs for a minimum of two hours every Monday throughout the academic year. There are also optional CCA programs that students can choose from on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year.
