Welcome to Al Wisam School, situated in Abu Saiba located in the Northern Governate of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Our school’s purpose is to educate our youth who will rise to the challenges of the modern world and take their place as leaders in the global community by offering our learners a comprehensive education from Nursery to Year 13. Al Wisam provides a caring and safe environment where diverse traditions and cultures are respected and encouraged to coexist.
The curriculum will continue to be regularly reviewed to ensure that it remains appropriate to the needs of our learners. Al Wisam is the authorized center for both Cambridge and Edexcel systems emphasizing the acquisition of knowledge, understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities for students attending our school.
As we move into the school year our focus is on “Parent Engagement” we pledge to increase and improve our communication with parents/guardians, open our doors for visitations, and provide u opportunities to engage with your child’s teacher. We also encourage all parents to regularly check our school management system (Olive) about our academic and co-curricular activities. Two-way monitoring will help ensure the success of your child’s education and well-being.
Inspiring young minds to lead the future. Al Wisam provides British Education to enable students to be confident, responsible, respectful, independent, lifelong learners who will rise to the challenges of the modern world in a caring and safe environment.
The early year's foundation stage at AWS sets very clear standards for the learning and development of children from the age of 3 to 5 years old. Children at this stage are actively engaged in the learning process while they are being involved in hands-on activities, games, and play.
The content of the curriculum in Kindergarten is broadly based on the framework 'Curriculum Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage' published by the UK Department for Children, Schools and Families. This framework directly supports the English National Curriculum, which begins the term after a child turns 5 years old.
An inquiry-based, language-rich approach to learning with an international focus. Specifically developed for young learners throughout the world, the topics and situations covered by Cambridge Global English strive to reflect the diversity and help learners find out about each other's lives through the medium of English. Cambridge Global English engages children as active, creative learners. As they participate in a wide variety of curriculum-based activities, learners acquire content knowledge, develop critical thinking skills and practice English language and literacy.
