Ysgol Gynradd Brynsaron is situated in the rural community of Saron, in the Llandysul area. Approximately 45 pupils are on the school register. It is classified as a Category A school, providing education to pupils in the local and wider community, between the ages of 3-11. Welsh is the main language used in the Nursery and Foundation Stage (3-7-year-old). In Key Stage 2 (7-11-year-old) the English language is integrated, aiming to ensure that all pupils are fully bilingual by the end of Year 6, in preparation for secondary education.
Ysgol Gynradd Brynsaron is a close-knit and caring community, ensuring a happy and safe environment for all. The dedicated teachers and staff are committed and conscientious working tirelessly to offer a variety of experiences and a vast amount of opportunities to all learners.
Ysgol Gynradd Brynsaron provides high-quality teaching and learning. Pupils are encouraged to take pride in their work – aiming for success and reaching for the stars. We ensure equality with access to an extensive and diverse curriculum, offering a variety of skills to all individuals, e.g. Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital Competency. We strive to nurture and develop our pupils to their full potential as independent, lifelong learners.
The school motto summarises what we strive for: (We shall walk hand in hand to the hilltop). Admission to the school is not an automatic process and it is a parent/guardian’s responsibility to apply by the specified closing date.
Early applications are welcome, however, no priority is given to early applications. No application will be processed until after the relevant closing date. There is a limit on the number of pupils that can be admitted into a school in any one year group. Once that limit is reached no further pupils will be admitted.
The headteacher or any other school representative cannot offer a place, only the Local Authority can legally admit a child into Community and Voluntary Controlled schools. Voluntary Aided Schools have their own admissions arrangements so please contact these schools directly.
